What is a herniated cervical disc?

The backbone, or spine, is composed of a series of connected bones called "vertebrae." The vertebrae is connected by a disc and two small joints called "facet" joints.

The disc acts as a cushion or shock absorber between the vertebrae.

The herniated disc can then press on the nerves and cause pain in the shoulders, arms, legs, spinal cord.

Herniated cervical disc injuries in the neck can occur after a car accident.

Available Treatments:

Anti-inflammatory medications

Medications used to control pain
